On January 16, 2024, the International Arctic Science Committee (IASC) and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation (PA2F) in cooperation with the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS) announced the recipients of the 2024 IASC Fellowship Program. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the IASC Fellowship program in 2024, ten successful early career researchers were identified for all available fellowships.
The IASC Fellowship Program was established in 2014 and is meant to engage early career researchers in the work of the IASC Working Groups: Atmosphere, Cryosphere, Marine, Social & Human, and Terrestrial. The IASC Fellowship Program provides the opportunity for early career researchers to become involved in leading-edge scientific activities at a circumarctic and international level, to build an international network, and to develop management skills.
The joint IASC-PA2F Fellowship is part of the Polar Initiative, generously funded by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.
Elena Adasheva was awarded the IASC-PA2F Fellowship 2024 to work with the Social and Human Working Group (SHWG).
